Sequence Staffing’s own resume and career-branding professionals also will review resumes.

3 EASY STEPS
TO BOOKING YOUR SESSION

1. Select Your Resume Reviewer.

Resume reviewers include hiring experts and Code Council members who will help you improve your resume and other essential career documents. A reviewer will meet with you, one-on-one, for a 20-minute session.

Browse the gallery below to see this year's reviewers. Click on the photo of any reviewer to schedule a resume review - a calendar of available times will open.

2. Choose Your Appointment Time

Choose an available 20-minute time slot. Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and reviewers’ availability varies – your first choice of reviewer may not be available at your preferred time. In that case, choose a different time or click “change” at the top of the page to see a list of other reviewers and try again with someone else.

Time slots fill up quickly, so we recommend booking your time as soon as possible.

Ultimately, if you can't get a review during the Expo, contact Sequence Staffing at the resume clinic or via email to arrange a review by phone after the conference.

3. Be Prepared to Share Your Marketing Materials

Have copies of your resume and other important career documents (e.g. cover letter, project list) ready to share online. Anything that you believe will give your reviewer insight into your unique background and experience.

Information to Bring With You

 COVER LETTER

Just like your resume, first impressions really count.

Your cover letter is intended to complement your resume in selling your professional brand.

Bring a current version of your cover letter with you to provide your resume reviewer greater insight into your background and experience.

 RESUME

Your resume is by far the
single most recognized and important personal brand marketing tool in your toolbox. Your career hinges on
its effectiveness to tell your compelling story.

Bring two printed copies of your current resume with you. Also, bring a pad or paper to take notes of your get together.

 JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you targeting or currently applying to a specific job opportunity?

Feel free to bring a copy of
the job description or advertisement for that position.

This will give your resume reviewer insight and a better
idea into your desired career
path or next stop.

Why Take Advantage of the

2024 Resume Clinic?

In today’s world of electronic media, large databases, virtual “connections,” and strong competition for fewer positions, a candidate must cleverly navigate the job market to stand out as an individual. A living document, your resume must not only encapsulate and communicate your skills and experience, but also catch a prospective employer’s eye, prompt a phone call, and lead to an interview.

Producing a resume that successfully moves you through these perilous channels to an interview requires a special effort, keen skills, and adaptability. Your resume must tell an employer or hiring manager a compelling story about you and your professional experience, knowledge, and skillset. More than ever, your resume is critical to the success of your employment search and career advancement. It is your most important personal marketing document.

At ICC’s Resume Clinic, get feedback directly from an ICC member or career professional with keen insights and hands-on experience with hiring planning professionals. Your reviewer will identify your resume’s strengths and effectiveness and point out specific ways you can make it not just better, but outstanding.

Learn how to develop an eye-catching, provocative resume that tells a compelling story about you—the individual employers are eagerly seeking. Find out what it takes to establish, build, and polish your brand—the key to successfully marketing yourself in today’s highly competitive job market.
